Ikat Effects

Employing an intricate hand-dyeing process where multiple colors/shades are dyed around skeins of yarn and then manipulated in the loom warping process, varied effects are created by the grouping and/or movement of color areas. Gregory Newham has perfected this process over three decades and is a master at creating large format textiles in this technique.
